Dial 111 for out of hours medical advice

The 111 service is suitable for non-emergency medical issues, if you require emergency attention you should dial 999. If the 111 operator believes your issue is an emergency, you will be put through to the emergency number.

The service is free to use from any landline or mobile phone.

What will happen when I call?

You will be provided with advice over the phone on how to best resolve the issue. You may be asked to attend Outpatients 2, or accident and emergency, at St. John’s Hospital. If you are too unwell to make your own way, arrangements will be made for a home visit.
